Напевно один з найлегендарніших та найповажніших колективів шведської панк-сцени... все почалося ще аж в 1981 році)))) проіснувавши 6 років хлопаки розвалились...але під тиском андергаундної спільности вже чоловіки реюніювались в 2005 році з новим басистом..в 2008 році вийшов новий альбум колективу, який порадує всіх шанувальників шведського красту...

Åke, Chrille and Jögge started playing together in 1981 with two other guys under the name Speedy Snails. Back then, we played a kind of mix between hard rock and punk. At that time, Chrille played the bass, Åke the guitar and Jögge was the singer.
In the summer of '82 when we started listening to more punk and we wanted to change our style but we couldn't get the others to want to play hardcore punk.
Then Chrille had to switch to being a drummer and Jögge changed to the bass guitar and after that the band Censur was formed.
The band then consisted of: Åke (Guitar and vocals), Jögge (Bass and vocals) and Chrille (drums). As Censur, we had two songs on the English compilation tape "Grevious musical harm" from Xentric Noise Tapes. The most musical influences came from British bands such as Discharge, Varukers, Chaos UK, etc.
In the Autumn of '83 Mentis entered the band as a singer, and we changed our name to MOB 47. We recorded an 11 song cassette "Hardcore attack". Now our music style was more influenced by American hardcore bands such as Poison Idea, M.D.C., Gang Green, Crucifix, Minor Threat and Jerry's Kids and even other bands such as Terveet Kädet and Neos. In the beginning of '84 Mentis was fired from the band as we didn't get along and MOB 47 became a 3-piece band again.
In April of '84 we rented a Porta-studio and recorded 22 songs of where 9 songs came on the EP "Kärnvapen attack" which recieved really good reviews in the American hardcore magazine "Maximum Rock'n Roll". The EP were printed in 466 copies and later another production of 1200. The EP was also re-released by Uproar Records sometime in '89. 4 of the songs exist on the swedish compilation album "Really Fast Vol 2", and 7 songs on Pusheads compilation LP "Cleanse The Bacteria".
All of MOB 47s songs are recorded in the "Bowlingstudion" which is really the rehearsal room that we had in the bowling alley that Åkes parents owned. Åke later bought a 4 channel Portastudio that was used for all of the recordings after that. This mini studio was also used by Crudity, Röjers, Protes Bengt, Discard and Ur Funktion(later know as Svart Snö).
In '85 we decided that we would make a cassette with "mangel" from Stockholm, as at that time, there weren't many hardcore bands in the Stockholm area. MOB 47 and Crudity recorded in the Bowlingstudion and Agoni at their own place and the compilation tape "Stockholmsmangel" was released. According to some, it was that period of time that MOB 47 was at their prime, we were unbelievably tight and played the really quick d-beat "mangel".
We now felt that we needed a lead singer and Robban joined the band. A few rehearsals,gigs and recordings were done but Robban didn't really have the same burning interest as us other band members and he left the band after a few months.
Tommy from Crudity took over as lead singer and we did some lovely gigs, an outdoor concert in Långholmsparken, but when Jögge later left the band and we would search for a new bassplayer, Åke and Chrille became bored and ended the band.
In the summer of 2005 almost 20 years later we are back together rehearsing. The new setting is with Johan on the bass and Jögge/Jugga handles the mic. Åke keep on hitting the guitar with his 300 bpm style. Chrille still pounding the shit out of the drums.
In the summer of 2007 new recordings were made that are planned to be released as a new EP in the beginning of 2008.
In October 2007 the EP "Kärnvapen attack" from 1984 was re-released by Havoc Records.
In november 2007 Jugga decided to leave the band.
Mob 47 is now a 3-piece band again as we used to be back in the 80's.
