The foundation of Pride Runs Deep took place in the summer/autumn of 2005 after a few hardcore fanatics met each other in their home town Rotterdam. In less than half a year the band put together a solid set of songs and after some time in the rehearsal studio they were ready to hit the stage for their first show in 2006.
After a small line-up change early 2007 Pride Runs Deep started playing shows all over The Netherlands, which enabled them to grow up as a very energetic, highly motivated and exciting live act. Mid 2007 the decision was made to record a Demo-CD. Though the plans grew out bigger than expected, and the Demo ended up as a Mini-CD.
The recordings for their first mini album, titled 'Till Our Dying Day' took place in November 2007 at Excess Studios - Rotterdam. This album containing 7 tracks has been officially released at the Waterfront Venue on the 26th of January 2008, accompanied by Disloyal and All For Nothing and received by the audience with a great response.
With an album, strong friendship and energetic stage performance Pride Runs Deep is aiming to play as many shows as possible. While doing this they have crossed the Dutch borders early in 2008, with a European tour through Germany, Croatia, Austria and Poland.
Although being burdened with the goodbye of 2 original members in the late summer of 2008 the band is committed to continue as the remaining members are eager to attack stages throughout Europe. Also new songs are on the way to keep this thing going strong in 2009. They simply get a big kick ouof this and need it like drugs.
Still bringing you two energetic singers and a solid band to back them up, the 4 males and 1 female in Pride Runs Deep will bring you an explosive stage performance, with all the enthusiasm a good hardcore show needs.
Pride Runs Deep has shared the stage with Pro Pain (USA), No Turning Back (NL), Still Screaming (DE), Browbeat (IT), Incarnate, Boxing Crime (BE), With Pride, San Andreas, All For Nothing, Ashema, Bound In Blood, Disloyal, Pushed Too Far and many others.
